Cluck, you hit the nail on the head!! It's not so much the beard, but all of that long, scraggly hair on his neck. It isn't attractive. A very short, well trimmed beard (especially around his mouth) would be OK, although I really do prefer just a bit of stubble.

NO! He's so good lookin' without that scruff. Women wear makeup to improve looks, men do beards and mustaches for the same reason. He just doesn't need it.
I looked at all the pictures included in this topic and I stand firm that the character Bobby is better looking clean shaven. We are talking about a character roll here, right?
I neither like or dislike beards etc. I think some men need them and some don't. Bobby doesn't need it and neither does Vincent.
