I just found this online......
There is a very good chance that WWE SmackDown could end up back on Thursday night when it moves to MyNetworkTV in September. A number of media outlets that have reported on the move have noted that the reason that MyNetworkTV did not call it Friday Night SmackDown in their press release is because it could be moved to another night.
UPN (before it merged with the WB to become the CW Network) moved SmackDown to Friday nights back in September 2005 as WWE did not have a say in the decision. It will be interesting to see if the show moves nights because I was told that was one of WWE’s top priorities in negotiating a new deal for the show.
In terms of popularity in the United States, Thursday nights are the most watched nights on television while Friday nights are one of the least watched nights on television. Nonetheless SmackDown’s move to Friday nights did not have a significant impact on the ratings.
So now we might have a THURSDAY NIGHT WAR...that would mean competition for the ratings and so SMACKDOWN and TNA will step their game up BIG TIME so get more ratings. What do yall think?

I think this counts more as WWE just pummeling TNA rather than a war.
LOL yea,i dont like tna,i just cant get into it but i think tna would obviously try to improve their shows,i would stick with SMACKDOWN but who knows, the writers might make smackdown better knowing that there will be another wrestling show on the same night

What it looks like is the WWE will suck up all of TNA's young talent (you know the people they should actually be focusing on.) Those guys are leaving TNA. Hell Christian is coming back to the WWE. Its not looking good for TNA when there best talent is slowly slipping away to the WWE.

Angle is legit and wasn't a wash up when he left the WWE imo. To tell you the truth, give the guy a couple months off and he would have been fine. Anyways if i was Vince and the leadership at the WWE, I'd take all of TNA's young talent. Those guys can be great in the ring. Some of them are great on the mic while others need some development.

I used to watch TNA and I can say that not all of the wrestlers are washed up. I mean Jeff Hardy was there for a while (which is the reason I got into it) and he was amazing on there. And Joey Styles...Amazing. But I do have to say that I don't want them to change it back to Thursdays, I have shows that I watch on that day. But I can see why they would. I don't think that a Thursday Night War is going to be anything like the Monday Night War was.
Christian Cage is actually back now. He came back on Tuesday to ECW.[/color]
