QUOTE (HelloBobby @ Apr 29 2008, 08:31 AM)
Crap. I can't let this go because the thought that someone is upset with me makes me very sad. I know that I upset Jryan. For that I am sorry. I was defending myself. I am hoping that this was just a misunderstanding. I guess the word Pathetic is being taken out of context.
Did I misunderstand Jryan's comment about my post? I did feel that it was aimed at me. It came after I posted on the thread that had not been posted on in a few days. Nothing was mentioned about Morgan. The other threads said just "Bump". The one I posted on was "Bump" with a comment.
sorry if you miss understood, but if I were trying to get rid of this thread, would I have posted in it? I was bumping this thread up to get rid of the other thread, and If I was posting about your entry I would have quoted it.

I've been leary to bump one thread that's been pushed back onto another page. I don't want people calling me a "bump queen" or have another argument start. I personally don't have a problem with people bumping if they're trying to bring a good thread back into discussion. So maybe I'll take a chance and bump the thread I was talking about.

The expression "Bump Queen" has caused the ABBA song "Dancing Queen" to lodge in my brain and now I can't get rid of it.
That's a good one, hull.
Bumping is fine for the reasons stated by JRyan (to get rid of unpleasant threads). But I think a comment pertaining to the thread you are "bumping" is in order, not just the word "Bump." That I do find annoying. I'm not annoyed at the person doing it, mind you, it's just that if it's a thread I find interesting, it's disappointing to just see the word "bump" and nothing else.

I know a woman who was in cahoots with another fan ... when they met An Actor They REALLY Liked - he put his arm around her for a photograph and the photographer (get this) pretended for ages and ages that the camera would not work - thereby prolonging the time her friend had being hugged by The Actor She Really Liked.
It's a great technique. Try it out.
Hye now...thats an amazing idea...hmmm...well, not that I will ever meet VDO, but it was a good idea!

My sister was kind of standing behind Jeff Gordon the NASCAR driver. She kind of put her arm out, but not really around him. I yelled "Hey Jeff". They both looked over, I snapped the picture and from the angle taken, it turned out looking like she really did have her around him. The look of her face was classic too.

Wow... That's a good trick.
We're all weird in some way. Especially around here! Come on do "normal" people carry on years long conversations over the hotness of ONE person? Do they make up ships and characters and whole stories about it? I mean it's kinda normal for ME to do, but the general populace would think we're all nuts.

I'll be the first to admit I'm absolutely pathetic. Most of the time, though, I'm proud of it! I can't help but wonder how VDO would feel if he stumbled on this forum--possibly he has already. I mean, thread upon thread about HIM, and HIS CHARACTER?
If it were me, I think I'd be a bit frightened.

First of all, I would DIE of embarrassment if he read this...and second i would feel awful if it scared someone to read what I had posted, so I certainly hope not on both counts .

I think the only reason I wouldn't DIE of embarassment if he read this, is that the chances of me meeting him IRL in a way that lets him discover who I am online is almost ludicrious to contemplate. It would still be hovering in my head though... ::eep::
I would still be pretty embarassed about it though.

I am with you Kim. I would be mortified if I thought he actually read these things. I doubt he does and if he ever has, he probably takes it in stride. Surely he knows he is attractive to many women. I hope he would realize it's all in fun. It is wierd that we can go on for years about just him. Such devotion.
