I think that CI fans might be the most pathetic group of people on the face of the earth. The hardcore SVUers might have us beaten, but not by much. (I'm a fan of SVU, also, but I can't get enough CI).
Any thoughts on this matter?
Yeah i am disturbed by this too. Nobody likes CI like I do. All of my family and friends who do watch Law and Order they watch SVU. We need to start recruiting...hahah.

My friends watch CSI too but they also watch CI. I guess I am the lucky one. But my family watches Law and Order and SVU but not CI and I watch all of them. Family doesn't like CI for some reason. They think I am obsessed. I tell them I am not obsessed, I am focused.

Obsessed, focused, driven, whatever works...I actually love the CI show. i do watch SVU, but prefer CI. Some people I know here do watch it, but none are as "focused"...as I am. Its nice to be part of the board here for that reason. People who agree and like to discuss the show and the actors...and I seriously have been learning so much about the computer and all, since I joined here. So its a GOOD obsession, right?

A very good obsession. I only joined the CI boat a few months ago. Can't figure out how I missed it in the beginning or even in the middle but somehow I did. I always loved SVU but have slacked off. I still love it but only watch the episodes one time and I am good with that but CI I watch over and over and still can't get enough of them. I am still in the learning stage being a newer viewer and all. I have only seen the episodes once, a few of them twice and a couple of them a few times, like 'Untethered', 'Blind Spot' and 'Amends'. I am working very hard to watch as many as possible and get them down pat so I can discuss the episodes very thoroughly.
Oh yeah and I have been wanting to tell you for so long that you and I have the same name. I think that is great.

My parents think the same thing. Just because I keep my phone in my room, turn off all other tvs and yell at my sisters for opening the door doesn't mean that I'm obsessed, just deeply concentrated.

I just wait until my family goes to bed (around 10 pm) and pull out the DVD's and watch then with no interruptions. Then I can concentrate on VDO. ::thud::

I might be bordering on pathetic. My oldest is away at college about 2 hours from NYC. In mid-April her school is having sibling weekend. We are making our other kids attend (they actually want to). Well, we have decided insted of driving 4-hours home, we are going to go to NYC for the weekend. It will be our first time in 21 years without kids.
Well, hubby made the fool mistake of asking what do I want to do in NYC. He wants to spend the day at the MET Museum of History. I want to VDO hunting. At least to see as many locations where CI has been filmed as possible. He is not on board with this idea. So as a joke, now we are saying that we are going our own separate ways once we hit the City.

HelloBobby, if I ever go to NYC, I'd divide my time between the Met and finding CI filming locations. As for being focused, I tend to not have very many TV shows I watch, so missing one is not fun. But I definitely feel the need to watch CI more regularly then all my other shows. As for CSI and SVU, neither is my cup of tea. The first because it's too much graphic information IMO, and the second because I don't like sex crimes. It's all down to whether or not you prefer the visual crime shows (like CSI or Bones) or the talking/psychological crime shows like CI or Numbers. I prefer the latter, but to each their own.

My Favourite L&O:CI Quotes
Goren: It's time to use my most important investigative tool; my library card.
Eames: No, the problem with men is that they talk too much.
Rodgers: There's a reason I work with dead people, Detective.
Logan: I'm sorry for your loss. Do you know how many times I've said that? Most of the time it's just routine. Other times, though...
Ross: Is it just me, or have we seen a serious decline in the quality of alibis lately? History has always fascinated me, especially taught by Ryan Gosling. Yes, Ryan, I'm listening closely...

I used to watch SVU quite a lot until CI came along and now it just CI and SVU just sits on the backburner until I get time for it.
