Have you checked out the "is vincent hot?" thread and seen all those naked and nearly naked pics of him from movies he's done? (Naked but covered, I should clarify.)
Oooooh, thanks for the note! I will be sure to open my freezer before I search that thread, so I don't melt into a puddle on the floor when I see the pix. Love love love the LOCI storyline, the characters, the writing, the acting, but let's face it: VDO is hotter than the surface of the sun.

Thank you Vincent, Kathryn, and Eric! Best wishes now and always!

Yeah, flashymom, I sooooo visit that thread many times daily! He is so easy on the eyes, even today! I can't decide if back then was hotter or now. Yes, I love watching those older episodes w/ the BTSOH and the blue dress shirt, but I think he is even hotter today b/c his character is so vulnerable. Couldn't believe it when I first started googling him and found all those pics! Wow! Wonder if Kate has seen all these things! Yowsers!

I was gonna say "forget Kate, what about Karin (his wife)?" but then I realized, she's his WIFE....................................................*blush*

Yes, I am officially pathetic! I have lurked since Endgame aired! I just joined a few minutes ago and posted my "getting started w/ CI" story on the new members thread, in case you're interested. I am also pathetic b/c I just got back from my first trip to NYC ever, and looked for VDO the whole time I was walking w/ my family. I figured I couldn't miss a tall guy like that, but to no avail. While there, we took some of the bus tours around the city. So, I got all excited when we took a ride on the Staten Island Ferry (look! that's where Bobby picked up Alex in Faithfully!), when we walked in front of the former Virgin Megastore in Times Square where Bobby was looking for Donnie, and when the bus tour guide pointed out Chelsea Piers as being where L & O is filmed. I had to get my official CI t-shirt and L & O handcuffs keychain from the NBC Experience Store (I know Vincent and Kate were there signing autographs, several yrs ago, so when an employee started telling another employee that "Vincent" was coming in in a few minutes, I almost had a stroke! Of course, "Vincent" was just another worker, I guess). Today, while watching a re-run of Untethered, I got all excited when I saw the skylift at the beginning when the guy had the brick, b/c we were standing outside of Serendipity 3 watching the skylift, last week! I'm sure glad I started posting. This is going to be fun!
Aww, you sound like me! You guys have no idea how badly I want to hurt myself now though. I had a chance to get Vincent's autograph once and possibly talk to him a little and totally gave it up!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Season 5 episode Grow. Remember the college? Yep, that was my college at the time. It was Queensborough Community College. I was in that building when the prof told us that they were filming Law and Order there because they liked the steps. But of course I wasn't into Law and Order at the time so me and a bunch of others were like, eh. So what?!?!? (Never to know that years later I would become so obsessed...why do things have to happen that way!?!?!? whyyyyyyyy?!?!)
*bangs head on desk*
And they were so nice about it!!!!! The steps were in the center of the campus so everyone knew they were filming, since there was no way you could bypass it. And I remember that I saw Vincent, but I had no idea who he was so I didn't go ape s***. And they gave autographs to whoever asked.

Me too.
I'm also pathetic because I'm obsessed.
I'm a wee bit obsessed with my Harry Potter right now because the new movie comes out July 15th. I'm reading all the books over again before it comes out.

I´m not a big Potter fan but I´ll check the new movie. That what we are, die-hard fans.

::puts pillow on A2CI's desk:: there, there, sweetie! It'll be alright. Please don't beat yourself up like this. It's not healthy and you're putting a dent in your desk.......As you stated, you were in college and not into L&O and filming a TV show really wasn't that big a deal to you other than watching and saying, "Oh, cool" a few times to your friends.
Some of us may never even have the privilege of seeing an L&O epi being taped, much less seeing VDO or KE, et al and getting to meet them/get autographs, so you're already way ahead of most of us!

Even if I had seen him, I don't think I could have approached him. My mom probably would have had to push me up there. I guess, even though many people have said that he is nice in person, w/ my luck, he would be in a bad mood, that day, and it would totally destroy my Bobby-watching. Especially if it happened in front of the rest of my family. Also, you just never know when it's okay to approach someone you run across, at the risk of invading their private time. Maybe, if I had been alone and seen him, I might have really talked myself into it, but I probably just would have frozen up. When I was younger, my mom and I were into watching wrestling on TV and going to some of the matches (before wrestling got to be so fake and overly-theatrical) and we had the chance to get autographs and take pictures w/ them. I had a huge crush on one of them, so I had behind my mom instead of going up to the table. Yeah, I just can't see myself mustering enough courage to approach VDO, and I'd definitely kick myself, later.

Aw, I can understand that! Even if I had known him and been as a big a fan then as I am now, I would have felt very shy but I still would have wanted to go and tell him how awesome I think he is. But in a situation where the celebrity is just walking around and you happen to bump into them,I don't think I would have the nerve to approach them either. I'd want to give them their privacy and not blow their cover and start a frantic mob.
(Unlike my cousin who told me she stalked Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson once right to the entrance of their hotel. geez)

My best friend and I have this discussion frequently. I am convinced I would probably be an absolute idiot. She has a huge crush on Mark Harmon and doesn't want to risk meeting him cause she knows she would embarrass herself badly. She insists I would totally cool cause I meet politicians and local celebrities all the time in my job and have gotten good at discussing absolutely nothing with really "important" people. Of course, for our locality, they aren't that important, they just think they are. But, anyway, I don't agree with her. So, when I'm wandering Manhattan on my many excursions I rehearse it in my head while listening to my iPod. The usual scenario involves me falling on my face, but I make a quick recovery and I get my photo and autograph and then end up hyperventilating. Yes, pathetic is one word for it, but as long as there is no cure for our condition I think we're okay. Let's not look for a cure.

I know that I am pathetic...when I do go into Manhattan (which is a not often enough) I am constantly looking over my shoulder to catch a glimpse of Vincent. There was one time that I thought I spotted him and what do you think I did? FROZE, mouth agape, heart racing and you guessed it by the time I came out of my "TRANCE" he was gone. I would like to think that if I truly had a chance to meet Vincent I would not make a fool of myself! Yeah right, I'd be a stammering fool! Have fun & be safe! Lynnann

My best friend, and Manhattan exploring partner has often told me when I'm exploring alone, if she gets a text from me that says OMG without a picture of Vincent she will be so ashamed of me. What she doesn't realize is I have trouble taking pictures with my phone while looking cool. I do fine with my regular camera, but with the cell phone I look like an idiot. So, in order to save face and not look TOO ridiculous I have taken to traveling the city with my camera around my neck. I take a lot of pictures of the silliest things, so I can look invisable while taking a quick picture of him (which I would promptly post). Getting an autograph or a quick hello, would be my ultimate goal and I keep hoping I would find some innocent and not terribly embarrassing way to pull that off. My best friend says I'll probably trip over a crack in the sidewalk. I told her just proves she doesn't know what a nice person he is--if I fell at his feet I'm sure he'd stop to help! Oh, I think I'm going off the deep end again. With my luck, if I do ever see him I'll be with my husband. I have already told him that in the event that I see VDO, he is to be very cool about my making a fool of myself. He was cute one trip, as I was doing my checklist, he asked: do you have something for autographs. Its great to have someone to enable my obsession!

Of course he would stop and help you up and then you can ask him to kiss any boo-boos that you have! Sounds like a good plan to me Marciemom. Be safe and have fun! Lynnann

So, I go to my softball game tonight with my "Goren Knows Everything" t-shirt and my friend asked, "What does your shirt mean?" So I tell him and then he decided to call me "dun dun" all night but I said, " 'Mrs. Goren' " will work, Thanks!" LOL I'm pathetic!

Aww that's adorable.
And I've realized that I must be truly pathetic. I do volunteer work in an office on 23rd St and 5th ave and various groups are always filming something in that strip. There is almost always some kind of film crew there and yeah...guess who is forever craning her neck and nearly getting run over trying to see if a certain Vince D'Onofrio is walking around...
