Thanks. I'm going to keep talking about clothes because I want to. I like old navy. I always went there when I was younger and always found good clothes. This will be my suit when I become a lawyer! Boy it's cool!
Ha ha I love this Walmart shirt. Haha! I found this using google, and it's funny! Personally I don't like wal-mart- I'm a target addict, but that's just me. A couple of dentist people came to my school the other day and had this picture. I thought I'd share it. Haha!
Weirdly enough, my computer just tried to shut down on me for no good reason. Good thing I was able to keep my post.

Hi Everyone!
For those of you who are interested in animal welfare and conservation, this is an organization that I visited after seeing a documentary about them on Animal Planet, featuring “Eddy” the leopard. I was so inspired by their mission and how well they care for the animals they provide homes for, I’ve been sponsoring several of their leopards for two years now – “Sam”, a black leopard, and “Chloe and Jake”, both spotted leopards. Here is a little info from their website:
They have been rescuing exotic wildlife and endangered species since 1980, and are currently provide a home for more than 200 Lions, Tigers, Bears, Jaguars, Leopards, Mountain Lions, Lynx, Bobcats, Servals, Wolves, and other wildlife.
The residents of the Wild Animal Sanctuary were abandoned, abused, illegally kept, or came from other terrible situations. The majority of the animals were so-called “pets”, and were confiscated by law enforcement officials - usually within the first six months of their lives. The sanctuary also provides permanent refuge to surplus animals from zoos and other wildlife facilities, where they face euthanasia due to over-breeding.
The Wild Animal Sanctuary has one of the most contemporary facilities in the nation - with multiple habitats ranging from 5-acres to 25-acres. These amazing habitats offer unprecedented freedom, and natural living spaces for the animals they rescue.

They are gorgeous in person. They also have them in a saddle brown colored leather that is really pretty. I'll be stalking the last call sales!
I'm a sucker for red, love it! I bought the cutest pair of canary yellow pumps, that are so sweet! I just happen to have a summer dress, I've never worn with the same yellow! So cute!!!

I'm actually going to break down and get red sandals for this summer. I usually stick to the neutral colors, but I've seen some absolutely beautiful red sandals and since red is the primary color in my wardrobe I can certainly justify red shoes. When I get really crazy I'm getting purple sandals. I'm going to get them when I do my shopping for my anniversary trip. I look awful in yellow, but I love it. In fact I bought a "shopping bag" for my NYC trips in canary yellow--bright and cheery for spring and summer.
Yesterday was a great trip. I felt so good after the massage. It warmed up nicely, okay, not warm, but not freezing cold. I won't be making any trips for about a month unless I get really nuts and my family sends me down for an NYC therapy session. I have to focus on my sewing (red sundress) and a few other projects. But, March 21st I'm going down to shop for my trip. My girlfriend wants to get a massage, too.
We ordered the new camera. My hubby wanted a Nikon D60. I have to learn how to use it. I've never used an SLR camera, but since I work at the high school and we have a great graphics art department I will take it to school and get the photography teacher to help me. I love my hubby, but when it comes to me learning stuff from him, he's not the best teacher.

What do ya think of these, krod? I love buckles! I'd need to wait until they're on a seriously deep discount, though.
Dancing with a Detective shoes (though the heel height would kill me!):
For my earthy-crunchy days:
That is a really sharp suit...classic but not too stuffy.
I haven't shopped at Old Navy, but my sister really likes them, and we both prefer Target to Walmart.
Nananay...how exciting!!! I'd be palpitating, too!
I like the red ones.
Bad news for me. There was a school dance last night. I only found out like five minutes after it started and I live 30 minutes away from my school.
Crap.
Just so people know if I say stuff that doesn't make stuff I am doing word play. lol.

Go for it, mm! And get those purple ones, too. Purple (more eggplant, less lilac) has always been one of my favorite colors. It's usually really hard to find, but this last year it's been everywhere. I've also always loved pink (fushia, pale pink, rose, salmon, coral, and anything in that family - Elle Wood from "Legally Blonde" would be proud!). I have a hard time with reds. If I wear red, it has to be a blue-red or burgundy. Orange-red makes me look ghastly!
Where do you like to shop in the city? For work clothes, I rely on "Ann Taylor", and they often have pretty good sales. I try to avoid department stores (I get sensory overload from all the stuff), but if I do need something, I favor "Lord and Taylor" and "Nordstrom", though I'm ashamed to admit I do have a Nieman Marcus card, but I use it mainly for their cafe. The food is yummy! For casual things, I like "LL Bean" and sometimes "Lands End", especially for tops and sweaters.

I love LL Bean for casual clothes--everything fits me. I like Ann Taylor, but right now their best stuff won't look great on this frame. In about 20 pounds I can do it. I don't shop at Saks except to look as see what I like and then have the heart attack from the price tags. I have found a couple boutiques I like on Columbus around 75-78th. Macy's will probably always be my favorite because I can usually find things on sale that I like--except Macys at Herald Square is very confusing and big. I'm still learning my way around.
I have discovered the best shopping can be found off the beaten path. I found nice shops in Alphabet City (part of the Guiliani clean up 12 years ago) that I want to go back to when I finish losing weight. In the Village and the Lower East side there are great little consignment shops for the worn once by people who have more money than they know what to do with so folks like us can wear their hand-me-downs. Once I get back from Puerto Rico I'm going to start writing down all the great shops I find since I will need to map out my shopping trip when I reach my goal weight.
More of an eggplant is my shade of purple, too. I don't wear lilac or lavender. I like darker colors although I did pick up a really sweet baby blue sweater (clearance rack -- $7). I look positively dead in brown, orange, and most greens. So, I stick with red, purple, black and white--with a little navy thrown in for good measure.
My kids pooled their money and bought a Wii. I'm going to buy Wii Dance. I never learned to dance when I was younger. My husband has hinted several times that there are nice places to dance where we are staying in San Juan so I guess it's a good investment. My family weren't big on dancing and such when I was growing up. I always wanted to and used to dance to the radio in my bedroom. I am such a klutz that I would rather learn at home than take a dance class. So, I'm going to buy it and run home at lunch time to practice--I live 5 minutes from work. That way no one is home to laugh at me until I have it all figured out. Then about two weeks before we go I should be ready to practice with my hubby.

Yesterday was the culmination of the worst work week I've had in a while. So, although I was very tempted to drown my stress in a giant hot fudge sundae I decided to go with something more helpful. I had my best friend find a spa where I could get a massage tomorrow. So she made the appointment for me. Its near Central Park, which puts me right where I wanted to spend my Saturday anyway. We are going to the Museum of Television and Radio as well. They are screening some documentaries that are up for Academy Awards. A couple of them looked interesting, so we're going to try to get there in time for the movies.
Watching Flashpoint right now. I don't think its going to end very well.
That spa idea sounds so good right about now Have fun!

LadyM -- hope the sewing came out well. I envy those who can use a sewing machine.
It started out great, until the machine went on the fuzz >___<, the thread kept getting snagged on the fabric. Gonna have to take it into a repair shop to get it cleaned.

HI Everyone, just thought I would let you know that my 18 year old nephew just came back from a four day stay in Manhattan with his friends and had a great time. Saw tons, loved the street vendors etc, etc, As he was touring around with his friends he came across a blocked off area in front of the courthouse, I had already foretold him that lots of taping was going on there and if he ran into LOCI taping he had best do his best to get his picture taken. He told me if he ran into VDO he was going to show him a picture of me , tell him I was his aunt and if he ever saw me to run for his life because I was in his words "mad crazy" about him. Well, anynway it was aCI taping but they were done and he didn't see any taping he did talk to the food catering truck drivers and they told him that he had just missed VDO. Well, I was so excited when he told me his adventure Just to be that close would have given me heart palpatations!!!
Someday maybe, until then back to Bobby gazing!!!!
nananay
Arrgh! So close! Maybe next time

Have you ever heard of Dance Dance Revolution? It's for the Playstation but I think there's games for the X-Box and Nintendo as well. Really fun game.

Hi Everyone!
For those of you who are interested in animal welfare and conservation, this is an organization that I visited after seeing a documentary about them on Animal Planet, featuring "Eddy" the leopard. I was so inspired by their mission and how well they care for the animals they provide homes for, I've been sponsoring several of their leopards for two years now – "Sam", a black leopard, and "Chloe and Jake", both spotted leopards.
The majority of the animals were so-called "pets", and were confiscated by law enforcement officials - usually within the first six months of their lives.
For more information, you can go to their website at:
From one animal lover to another. You rock. About all I'm able to do is feed and care for the stray cats and dogs. The word is out around here if your hungry go to Lenore's house. There is food.

Mephisto shoes. The prices are high, but they're awesome and will last for years. I only own one pair and they finally need to be resoled after almost 10 years. And they sell "resoling kits" that you use to send your shoes back to the company and in about a month you get your shoes back cleaned and with new soles.

LBD, that is amazing!! I am a big fan of big cats and other wild animals (especially lions) and I think that is great at what you are doing. It's heartbreaking to find out that they and other wonderful animals are endangered. It would be awesome if I could someday be able to train and care for african lions when I am older. Were Chloe and Jake the spotted leopards from the show "Growing Up..."? And you got to see them playing?? Aww, good luck with that, hope everything goes well.

OUCH... my oven just bit me!!!! GGRRRR
I was getting this nice casserole dish out of the oven to add the last two ingredients and I caught the top of my thumb on the inside of the oven.... it's one of those where you hear it sizzle as you hit the oven... I now have a nice little patch of about half an inch of burnt/blistered skin on my thumb. I ran it under the cold tap for about 10 minutes so it should be okay (it's a good thing I did first aid at work) but it still aches a bit... booohooo. and it's my left hand too!!!!!
