Hi Bubba here, you guys are welcomed. I have really enjoyed the show so far.
As Admin mentioned, there will be 11 episodes this season, including the 90-minute premiere and a 2 hour season finale.

Just signed up today. I am a huge Bruce fan, so I was looking forward to this show for a while. I must say that it has exceeded my expectations. Here's hoping they have Gabrielle Anwar (Fiona) dance a tango with Sam in an upcoming episode as a nod to her role in Scent of a Woman - Hoo Hah!
Keep up the great work. I know where I'll be tonight at 10pm...Watching USA
By now you probably realize, as a Bruce Campbell fan, you are in good company. I was awakened to his work through BN and have been properly educated by this board's members about his previous works. I love BN and Bruce. Welcome!!!!

In same time slot:
The Closer is a big winner.
Shark with James Woods is superb.
But Burn Notice started off fast, believable, hip, with good cast, good acting, and great variable location. Anything can happen, and does, in Miami or the Keys. This concept has been a bit reminiscent of the Thin Man only more current, hip, showy, with real people.
The problem is that nitwit brother. If you continue to have that character then a great show degrades into a retarded version of My Name is Earl. Do not let it go that way as it would be a stupid loss. Have the brother move to Alaska or some other planet as his character contributes nothing.
And the mother does not need to be in every show. She is good and does not need to go off-planet but do not have her in too much. Every other show would work fine. Once in a while she could actually help on some operation.
Sam is fine and so is mercurial Fiona, she is terrific and very real. However, it is clear that Sam is more than a boozy flirty ex-spy bum so once in a while his smarts should show through. He could not have lived as a spy if he had been as inept as he seems. And spies are seldom one dimensional. Plus his personality adds quite a bit to the show. They add a lot to the picture and are totally believable.
Also we need to discuss money.
Your writers have stated that all Michael's money was frozen. A real agent would have had secret cash stashes and passports in many places as he would have known that things go to hell fast and without warning.
But Michael has NO money. This is stupid as it costs some money to live, wear decent clothes, and pay for activities during operations. On only 1 show he made a lousy $300 off his mother's friend and some off the first guy he helped. Since then you have not shown he has made a dime. Many of his activities could have brought in money. Burning the scam artist could have brought in a small bundle while restoring the scammed peoples savings.
People are not stupid. If you want to sell this show then he has to make enough money to live on plus carry on operations. And Miami is NOT a cheap town. See to it.

Hello, everyone! New to the Burn Notice boards but not to the boards. I even had the honor of being named a Psych "Fan of the Week" last year. But now I've got a new snarky man in my life--sorry, Shawn. Bruce Campbell was what first attracted me to the show, and I thought the premise and locations were intriguing. I love the distinct look of the show, down to the "title cards" for the supporting cast, and I think with each episode the show will continue to strengthen its distinct voice. A blend of action, humor, suspense, and helpful hints from the world of espionage. Donovan is simply riveting as a reluctant hero. And I do enjoy when Sam and Fiona are added to the mix; they all have such great chemistry.
Looking forward to future episodes!

Hi Bubba here, I have noticed over the last couple of weeks, we have a lot of new members who have joined the forums here. I just wanted to welcome to you guys and if you need any help, I will be glad to help you out the best I can or refer you to the Admin here. He does a great job here.
What are some of the reasons you watch Burn Notice?
We have watched since day one and absolutely love the show!!! the whole cast is doing a really good job and please keep up the great work!!! Love Sharon Gless' charcter she's just the right fit to add comedic relief and a real love of her son, and somehow she gets Fiona to open up to her more than even Michael does!!!

I am a little bit a fan of Monk, Dead Zone, Psych, and I liked the first season of 4400 but I never felt compelled to sign up...till now.
Plus, no one I know wants to talk tv, movies, etc with me besides my sister so I need people to talk to with similar likes tv-wise.

Michael and Fiona have the best on-screen tension since Maddie and David (yeah...I just dated myself!). But what other show can you watch with your 17 yr old son and everyone loves it?
Thanks USA, the producers, cast and crew...Burn Notice is on "series record" at our house and we're looking forward to a 2nd season, too! Congrats and keep it coming.
