Not sure why, but I woke up singing this song this morning and had it stuck in my head all through class this morning:

I have "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilara (sp!) stuck in my head...that's what I get for watching "Smash" just before bed (that's the first single released from the show!)!

"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" is very meaningful to me and my family, particularly to my aunt and cousin, who are mother and daughter. This song was playing in the hospital the very first time my aunt held my cousin after giving birth to her. It makes her cry tears of joy every time she hears this song!


I flipped when I saw "GLEE" so "Summer Nights" from the Broadway musical "Grease". "Grease" is one of my all time favorite musicals that I saw on Broadway....got me interested in the 1950's era,my room is inspired by "Grease", "Grease" is also on my hit list for musicals that I want to perform in (I'll take any part in the show!), and I even got to perform this song for a show I did in college. On Broadway, they split the stage for this song with the guys on one side of the stage and the girls on the other side. We did the same thing when I performed this song. We were short on girl parts (seriously there were like 6 guys on one side of the stage and me and one other girl on the other side), so I got to sing all the solos after the "Tell me more, tell me more..."...basically every part except for Mercedes's (the black girl singing the lead) part. It looked funny, but I held my own against all the other guys in the song, and it was really fun to do!
