Well, if it's a question of who I'd rather eat cake off of, that would definitely be Westen, but in a fight? I just don't think he would be as ruthless as Casino Royale's Bond...he's far more...human? He doesn't kill people if there's a way to avoid it, whereas Bond is not concerned about the body count.

Michael Westen
VS Daniel Craig James Bond
This was a really tough call, but I couldn't stand not seeing the results by not voting....
I like Mikey, and the child's got some serious moves, but, against DC/JB....close, but on a 51/49 I'd have to give it to DC....on "history" alone, if nothing else.....If you were to "culminate" all the Bonds (Connery, Brosnan, Moore, Dalton, DC, Lasenby.....) into one Super-Bond....it would be a higher ratio....but MW'd still give him/them a pretty good run for the money.....
Sorry Mikey, but a Bond girl's gotta do, what a Bond girl's gotta do......

I'm in complete agreement with you on every count here (definitely would rather eat cake off Michael Westen , and Daniel Craig's bond is likely way too ruthless for Westen).
[BTW - the first line of your post has gotta be one of the funniest, most awesome things I've read on this forum - I mean, how can one go wrong when one conjures up the image of licking cake off Michael Westen, right? LOL!!!!]

This thread got me thinking could you imagine Burn Notice rising to the caliber or even surpasing that of James Bond? I can see it, just not to clearly. Imagine Burn Notice movie - that would be odd I'd think 1.5-2 hours isn't enough to fit in a good movie plot as far as BN goes there would be too much irregularity from the show. None-the-less I can still see it as rising to the level of James Bond and higher.

Oh believe me, that image kept me entertained all afternoon. Once I'd typed it I just couldn't get it out of my head.
As an addendum to the Westen vs. Bond debate though....I don't think any of the Bond girls would stand a chance against Fiona.

I actually was driving in my car this afternoon and was mulling over what kind of cake I'd like to eat off Michael Westen. Gingerbread? Strawberry shortcake with lots of Reddi Wip? *LOL* Okay, okay, I know - I'm in the wrong thread and need to get to a support group meeting at the JD-aholics thread.
You're right about the Bond girls - they really *wouldn't* stand a chance against Fiona. She's one of those rare female characters who's actually quite strong and can not only take care of herself but can defend others with aplomb. I loved how she protected and defended Oleg's cocktail waitress and the daughter (s.1, ep.3, Fight or Flight) - but now I'm sounding like I need to be in the GA-appreciation thread, aren't I! I'm all over the place tonight...

Be careful...that could cause an accident...
dcdarling, would you mind if I posted your "eating cake off Michael Westen" post in the JD-aholics thread? For posterity's sake? It's too great a moment for it not to be brought up on the JD support group's rosters. Lemme know if it's okay, kay?

Totally fine...I was thinking I needed to join said support group myself, was just waiting until I'm not at work and have time to give the photos on that thread the attention they deserve...

It's tough sneaking off to the support group meetings, lol! Be sure to check out the GA appreciation thread for a lil' bit of eye candy regarding an upcoming BN guest star, too.

Figured I'd plunk this excerpt from a JD interview into the Bond/Westen thread, just as an item of interest - here's JD on Michael Westen vs. James Bond:
"The thing about Bond is, everyone in the room knows he's Bond. I'm the anti-Bond. No one knows I'm the most dangerous man in the room. And that's a lot of fun to play. Because if you are a Bond, then you're always cool. I love playing a guy that's not cool. That he's kind of fallible, that he falls down, that he messes something up, that he gets angry. Bond never gets angry. Weston does."

I had to add to this thread. Those of you that spoke of Pierce Brosnan, I have to say, I met him on a stage-set while in college at UNC-W. This was back when I was in my 20's. He was doing a scene, and I flirted with him until I interrupted the scene. I was with a couple of girl-friends, and just to see what kind of guy he is when he came over to meet us, I dropped all my books right at his feet. He immediately dropped down and picked them up. Of course I seized the opportunity to help, and yes, he does smell AWESOME!, and is far more handsome in person. A real nice guy, and my hubbie sure hates when I tell this story, but when I watched Fi in action during the Comrades episode, it kinda reminded me of myself and Pierce!

Cindyanne, that's an awesome story! Pierce Brosnan is such an incredibly handsome man - but the thing I love about him the most is how funny he is. One of my favorite Pierce Brosnan movies is Mrs. Doubtfire, actually - I thought he was hilarious in that! I wish I'd gotten a chance to see Remington Steele - it was on when I was a kid, but I never did watch much television and I missed it. I'm gonna have to see if I can rent it from Netflix...

The first 2 seasons were great- just avoid the last one, as Pierce was forced to do it under contract when he should have been making his first Bond flick...
Edited to add: That would be the short season five... a little research reminds me that it was a good show all 4 seasons, with two & three being the strongest IMO.
